Mystical Anawangin

The rainy season is up. But the thrill doesn't stop from there.

The first time I saw the place from a picture, I felt excited and very eager to go. I have read several stories about this mystical place. There were instances where people drown to dead. Stories that I think every place has to tell. But that doesn't stop me from going.

I love to travel, go to different places were culture diverse. See different places other than Manila. I've been to several places in Luzon and Visayas but I think Anawangin, Zamabales is one of the best places I have ever been. I wouldn't compare it to Boracay, because they are way different with each other.

It was a 3 hours bus ride from Manila to San Antonio, Zambales. Then a tricycle ride. When we arrived to the beach, several bangkeros approach us for a boat ride to the cove. But of course, budget was strict. The price was alright for Php250 for a 2-way ride. It was about 20 exciting minutes for a boat ride.

It was about 3pm when, at last, we arrived at the cove. I saw people with there g-strings on, swimming, laughing and enjoying every minute of there stay. Before going, we researched about what to expect to the place. No electricity, no cottages BUT there are 3 simple comfort rooms, and electric pump for water.

Even without electricity, we enjoyed the night. Bonfire was lite. Smores were made. Laugh and drink till we fell asleep.

The next day. We took a hike to take some evidences(pictures). We depart at around 4pm.

The experience was great. It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. It would be great especially for those who love to take some time from the hustle and bustle life in the metro.

I'm sure i'll be back.
